Opeyemi Callisto is a book vendor and writer. He wants to be consistent with his blog and invest in himself in the new year. “I want to go for training, seminars, read at least 12 books, travel and see the world. I plan to never go to bed without learning something new everyday in the new year. I get distracted easily which makes me lose focus sometimes, but I’m determined to be consistent and focused in the new year. I plan to achieve this by keeping a progress diary of my daily activities and rewarding myself with a present every time I achieve my goals”.
Adebola Soyode, a Lawyer and devout Christian, is particular about being disciplined in the new year. According to her, it is the only way she can experience growth in all areas of her life. She also wants to meet and know more people. “I know I’m capable of much more and I have several amazing things to do but my indiscipline has really limited me.
This is a big deal for me next year because it will improve every area of my life; spiritual, career, business, finances, ministry. I see myself growing and doing excellently in all these areas of my life only if I work on disciplining myself to achieve my goals. I plan to achieve this by reading books, sleeping early so I can always wake up early, and depend on the leading of the Holy Spirit to achieve this. I also want to know more and meet more people. I’ll be doing a lot of going out and travelling. I want to explore and expose my mind to new possibilities”.
Tolulope Sule, an Accountant and YouTube vlogger said her New year resolutions are a continuation of this year’s. “I want to save 15% of my gross income. I’ll stick to achieving this by having a mandate agreement with my bank enabling them to debit my account on a fixed date. I also want to invest in my mental and intellectual ability and I intend to achieve this by reading books and attending conferences and personal development classes. I want to have a more intimate relationship with God and serve him. I intend to achieve this by actively contributing my service to a department in my local church and spending more time in worship.
I am also particular about adding value to the lives of young People via my YouTube channel. I intend to achieve this by extensive research on import subject matters while developing my communication & networking skills. I will also invest in equipment and tools that can enhance the achievement of the goal”.
