There are several luxury homes in Lagos available to buy or rent on the mainland and islands. However, the two major parts of Lagos have their pros and cons, each offering a distinct allure in the ever-evolving scene of luxury real estate in Nigeria.

In this article, we will be delving into the luxury home locations on the Lagos Mainland and Island, the pros and cons of these major parts, and which area is better to live or invest in

Luxury Homes on Lagos Mainland

Let’s delve into the Lagos mainland; a sprawling expanse, where the majority of Lagos residents live.

The Lagos Mainland has often been portrayed as a less developed area when compared to the island. Dispelling preconceived notions, the mainland isn’t just a less developed sibling to the island. Luxury homes can be found on the mainland in places like Ogudu GRA, Gbagada, Magodo, Mary Land, Ikeja, Ebute-Meta, and Surulere, among others.

While Lagos is renowned for its costly accommodations, the most affordable locations could be found on the mainland. Luxury home costs on the mainland are often more approachable than their counterparts on the island, including studio apartments and flats. Additionally, the costs of living on the mainland remain affordable.

Luxury homes can be found on the island in places like Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Victoria Garden City, and Ajah, among others.

As I have said earlier, accommodations in Lagos are expensive. The most expensive luxury home in Lagos is on the island, and when it comes to recreational facilities, you not only find them in abundance on the island but also in good shape. Most houses come with a gym centre, swimming pools, squash courts, etc., and there are a good number of shopping malls you can patronize. Did you ask, What about cinemas, ShopRite or eateries, electricity, and networks? Trust me, you will enjoy living on the island for all those features.

  1. Premium Privacy and Best Security System
  2. Availability of both basic and social amenities
