Keeping a clean house can be frustrating and time consuming which is why you need a few cleaning hacks to help you reduce the burden. 

These cleaning hacks would save you from spending so much time on certain home cleaning. However, it is pertinent to note that these are just cleaning hacks to help you clean, it doesn’t mean it would reduce the number of times you have to clean your home. 

The number of times or the frequency of your cleaning largely depends on your lifestyle as well as a host of other factors like how many people live in the house and if you have children. If you live alone you know you don’t have to clean as regularly as if you have little children. 

Keeping Your Iron Clean

Using an iron with a stained surface can be annoying especially because it can easily stain your cloth. An easy way to clean the surface of your iron is to run it over a foil while it is hot. You can also use paper covered with salt if you don’t have a foil. Both will achieve the same result.

Cleaning the Microwave Bowl

Want to clean a stained or greased microwave bowl? A cleaning hack that would help you clean it quickly is to fill it with water then add little dishwashing liquid or detergent and place it in the microwave for one minute. Afterwards, all you have to do is bring it out and wipe it with a wet sponge and it’s clean. 

Picking Up Broken Glass

For broken bottles, plates or any glass, one of the good cleaning hacks that can help you pick up all the pieces is to use bread. Yes, you can press the bread repeatedly against the floor to pick them all up. This is even better than sweeping the glass because the bread would pick up the tiny pieces of glass more than a broom will. 

Cleaning Burnt Pots or Pan

It is a known struggle when it comes to cleaning burnt pots or pans after cooking. A trick to help you is to use vinegar and baking soda. Fill the burnt pan or pot with water, pour in 2 cups of vinegar and allow it to heat up. When it gets really hot, take it off and pour in 2 tablespoons of baking soda. The final stage is to wipe with a sponge to get the stains off and there you have it. 

Cleaning Your Foggy Mirrors

Sometimes when you take a shower, you might find out seeing yourself in the mirror is difficult because of the fog from the steam that has covered it. There is an easy cleaning hack for this.  Simply cover the mirror in shaving cream then, clean it off with a newspaper. This will prevent your mirror from fogging.

Cleaning Your Blender

For the blender, you can easily fill it with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Turn it on and let it go for a for a few seconds. Then rinse it out with warm water and you’re all set!

Cleaning Your Window Blinds

Your window blinds are probably pretty dirty if you haven’t cleaned them in a while, which is common as most people don’t clean them all the time. Here’s an easy solution or cleaning hack for you. Combine equal water and vinegar in a bowl and get a sock to put over your hand. Dip the sock in the solution and then run it over each slat of the blinds to remove any dirt or dust!

Use Toothpaste to Clean Tough stains 

All you need is an old toothbrush and a little toothpaste to get tough stains especially on white surface, looking like new again. You can use toothpaste for atoms on tiles, bath tubs and the likes.
